About Camden LETS & Social
Trading
What is LETS?
LETS (Local Exchange Trading System) is a network of local people
who exchange all kinds of skills and services on a points system.
It's a self-help community initiative which allows its members
to trade with each other on a time-based system. LETS isn't just
barter - you get credits for whatever you do, which you can then
exchange with anyone else in the system. In Camden we call our
unit of exchange 'Locks', which equates to time used for that
skill or service being offered.
Benefits of Trading
Social trading is a great way to share your skills and to benefit
from the skills of others. Once a member, you will be able to
exchange your time and skills for 'Locks', our time-based trading
points system, and to take advantage of the many skills of our
members.
Monthly Trading Socials
Regular monthly meetings -Trading Socials are held on the last
evening of the month 8-9.30pm at venues across Camden. This is
your chance to meet new people/members of Camden LETS.
